Watch out Fillydelphia, the thunder's going to be a bit loud tonight.
This is the third picture in the Rainbow Power series, and I am finally done with the feathered characters. I love drawing wings, and feathers can create some spectacular effects that are a joy to draw, but they're just so tedious. Drawing and shading the feathers in this picture took up almost a third of the whole process by itself.
I started this picture in early November, before I began work on my official pony anatomy headcanons. And while this picture had all of the essential elements that I wanted to include in the anatomy charts, after all of the research I have had to do sense then it looks absolutely terrible. Oh well, I'll be able to do better next time.
